James Magnus-Johnston

James Magnus-Johnston is a politcal economist with a focus in ecological economics.  He teaches Political Studies and Economics at the Canadian Mennonite University in Winnipeg, and is the Canadian Director of the Centre for the Advancement of the Steady State Economy (CASSE).  He has an M Phil in Economics from Cambridge University. 

James is also the Co-Chair of Transition Winnipeg, which tabled a successful motion (link) at the Canadian Community Economic Development Network – Manitoba policy summit to urge the Province of Manitoba to adopt a carbon levy and strong regulations.
