Nick Claxton

Nick Claxton is an assistant professor in the School of Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria, and is an elected chief of the Tsawout Nation on Vancouver Island. His doctoral work focused on the revitalization of his nation’s traditional reef net fishery. He is a co-author of “Whose Land Is It? Rethinking Sovereignty in British Columbia,” in BC Studies, 204 (Winter 2019/20).
