CCPA spokespeople available for federal budget commentary and analysis

March 18, 2019

OTTAWA—The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA), will have the following representatives available for federal budget commentary and analysis:

  • David Macdonald, CCPA Senior Economist

  • Katherine Scott, CCPA Senior Researcher

  • Hadrian Mertins-Kirkwood, CCPA Researcher

  • Alex Hemingway, CCPA-BC Economist and Public Finance Policy Analyst

The CCPA’s 2019 Alternative Federal Budget, released during pre-budget consultations last year, shows how the federal government can afford to lift close to a million people out of poverty, raise revenues by closing unfair and expensive tax loopholes, implement single-payer universal pharmacare, and create 500,000+ jobs through progressive, cost-effective investments.
