Julien Simard is a social gerontologist. He has a master’s degree in anthropology (Université de Montréal), a doctorate in urban studies (Institut national de recherche scientifique-Centre Urbanisation culture et société), a post doctorate from McGill School of Social Work, and another post doctorate in social studies from UQAM. He currently works as a professional researcher at the department of urban studies at UQAM.
Quebec took an authoritarian approach to COVID-19 instead of dealing with the elephant in the room: it was spread in workplaces, schools, health care facilities and institutions.
