Wednesday, June 8th, 2022, the Director of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives-Nova Scotia presented to the Nova Scotia Standing Committee on Public Accounts regarding the impact of a low-wage economy. Dr. Saulnier’s written submission to the standing committee, The Impact of a Low-Wage Economy on Government Revenue and Expenses, details the impact low-wage economy has on workers and government expenses and revenue while outlining the need for an intentional, inclusive, transition to a greener economy.
