Yesterday, we released our second annual ranking [2] of the gender gap in Canada’s 25 largest cities. The report, by CCPA Senior Researcher Kate McInturff, takes stock of how women are faring in five key areas in our country’s biggest cities and finds that when it comes to pay, jobs, and safety, men and women still don't get equal treatment.
The report has received an unprecedented response from news media and social media alike. Virtually every major media outlet in the country has covered this story, and our social media posts have elicited thousands of shares and comments—reaching more than 700,000 Facebook users in a little over a day.
