The State of the Inner City Report is an annual community-based research collaboration led by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives Manitoba office. The State of the Inner City Report series began in 2005 with the report “The Promise of Investment in Community-Led Renewal” and has been published annually since this time. The reports shine a light on topics or initiatives that are not necessarily well-known to the mainstream media or Winnipeggers, describe macro-level issues that impact the inner city, build local capacity by training community researchers and identify policy and program gaps, and make recommendations to the appropriate level(s) of government.
