Kate McInturff Fellowship in Gender Justice
The fund’s goal is to foster the development of young feminist researchers and activists working in diverse communities.
The board of the CCPA established the Kate McInturff Fellowship Fund in 2019 to honour the work and legacy of our dear colleague, Kate McInturff, the first director of the Making Women Count program. Kate touched many lives with her intelligence, wit and passion for social justice—here in Canada and around the world—and was passionate about training the next generation.
The fund supports the costs of the Kate McInturff Fellowship in Gender Justice and activities related to research and public engagement on gender justice. This annual three-month internship is open to post-secondary students studying at a Canadian university. The fund’s goal is to foster the growth and development of young feminist researchers and activists working in diverse communities across the country.
Donations to the Kate McInturff Fellowship Fund are gratefully accepted. By contributing to the fund, the CCPA can continue to mentor the next generation of feminist advocates.
The CCPA is a registered charity. All donations are eligible for a tax receipt.
